Eighteen years ago I was invited to become an apprentice to a wedding photographer in Chester. I was so excited and within weeks I had realised that photography was the dream job for me. I had trained in London as a retail and promotional designer (to the level of distinction) so the art world was already my 'duvet'. From the age of four I had a series of ever better cameras and every birthday I would ask for an upgrade, well apart from when I was eight and I asked for a lemon during an obsessive citrus phase but at least it was healthy ! After art college I set up my own dark room and spent many unhealthy hours in the company of weird smelling chemicals, dodging and burning the perfect portrait only to appear and wonder where the daylight had gone. And then the wonder of weddings found me ...
What can I say ... there is nothing more photographically exciting than wedding photography. It's spontaneous, thrilling, terrifying, exciting, you can't miss a thing, it's romantic, fantastic, emotional and magical, I love it !
Your wedding will be the most important event I have ever photographed, as every wedding I have photographed has been, it's only happening once and it cannot be repeated to I will endeavor to see and capture it all from the details you have taken time to choose, all the tiny moments and emotions, to all the little happenings you might not even see on the day. I will be 1000 eyes !
My aim is to capture every wedding beautifully, naturally, unobtrusively, honestly, with care and compassion, and passion, with attention to detail and with love !
You can choose from an 'images only' package or ones which include a bespoke, handcrafted wedding album. I can cover from bridal preparations through to your wedding breakfast or I am happy to be asked to stay til the first dance - I do encourage this as I'm rather partial to a good dance (with my camera of course!).
I do appreciate that choosing a wedding photographer is a very big decision. I do believe that it is a privilege to photograph a wedding and I never underestimate the trust that is held in me to create such important memories on film.
Please pop me your details via my contact form, I would love to hear about your wedding plans and I would be delighted to meet up with you and show you some albums. I look forward to hearing from you.
